How has your experience to date prepared you for your role at Fervo?
I have been blessed to work with start-ups over the last several years. Getting to build an accounting department from the ground up is the best part. Putting the right people in place, with efficient systems and procedures, is key to being successful.
Favorite part of the job?
My favorite part is coaching, mentoring, and sharing knowledge with my team. I am a strong advocate for building the future “bench strength” of the accounting profession. Watching coworkers grow and excel in their roles is the most rewarding part of my job. My biggest hope is that my team members will continue to pay it forward.
Top three words to describe your time at Fervo:
Three words is tough, but I can do it with six words: Every day brings a new challenge!
What have you learned about yourself or the clean energy industry while at Fervo?
Having a background in oil and gas accounting has helped tremendously – as my work at Fervo is very similar. Being able to apply my skills towards the mission we’re delivering on – of providing a reliable source of clean energy through geothermal power – is amazing. I am extremely proud to be a part of this game-changing and impactful energy venture.
